The European Space Agency is organising the 7th ESA Advanced Training Course on Land Remote Sensing which will be held at Szent István University, Gödöllő Campus, Hungary, from 4–9 September 2017.
The course is being organised by ESA in cooperation with the Hungarian Space Office (HSO) and Szent István University (SZIU).
The main aims are to train the next generation of European and Canadian Earth Observation scientists, focusing on:
- explaining theoretical principles, processing algorithms, data products and their use in applications;
- introducing tools and methods for the exploitation of EO satellite data, in particular from the Copernicus Sentinels 1, 2 and 3 satellites;
- stimulating and supporting the exploitation of ESA EO and Third-Party Mission data for land remote sensing science and applications.
Postgraduate-level, Ph.D. students, post-doctoral research scientists and users from Europe and Canada interested in land remote sensing and its applications are welcome to apply to the 6-day course. Participants from all other countries are also welcome to apply, subject to availability of places.
The deadline for applications is 31 May 2017.
